Contracts Manager
Norton, MA

The Ryan Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Contracts Manager to join our office in Norton, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Lead internal contract reviews, ensuring Quanta Legal’s involvement and approval.
• Oversee contract and subcontract insurance requirements, Parent Guarantee, and Letter of Credit needs.
• Design systems to monitor and preserve lien rights.
• Provide consultation on contracts and construction documents.
• Interface between Operations and Quanta Legal for contract negotiations.
• Monitor receivables aging for lien rights execution.
• Guide contract close-out processes and ensure proper subcontractor forms are used.
• Engage with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive handoff process.
• Ensure contracts comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct contract research, audits, modifications, and risk analysis.

Job Requirements:

• Proficient in public and private contract reviews, with a strong understanding of terms and conditions specific to the construction industry including engineering and balance of plant contracts.
• Experience with renewable energy contracts.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of business, financial, and management principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, as well as guide team performance to meet division goals.
• Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs.
• Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of contracting concepts and contract acquisition law and regulations are essential for any career in contract management.

Preferred Extras:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Accounting or Business Administration, or comparable experience.
