We are committed to the health and safety of our employees, customers, and community.

As a founding member of the OSHA National Safety Partnership, safety is the core value of The Ryan Company, Inc. and parent company, Quanta Services, Inc. Quanta’s safety performance is consistently better than national averages. The objective of our well-established corporate safety programs is to have zero accidents. This goal is embedded into all of our processes and procedures and ingrained in our corporate culture. Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Quanta’s unwavering commitment to safety extends to Ryan projects as well. Certain unique aspects of power generation have resulted in additional procedures to achieve our goal of zero accidents. For each project, Ryan will provide a written project specific program to include Safety Procedures and a Project Safety Manual that incorporates the following aspects when appropriate: General Management, Compliance, Training and Medical. Ryan is committed to the health and safety of its employees, customers, contractors and communities, as well as, providing and maintaining a safe work environment. This has always been viewed as the number one value at Quanta Services and commands attention of the most senior executives in the firm. Ryan’s success in safety requires individual commitment, involvement, teamwork and leadership. All levels of management are responsible for providing a strong safety leadership for all employees.

Safety First. On Every Site and in Every Office. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Initiative.

An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically analyzes heart rhythm to detect cardiac arrest and/or life-threatening heart rhythms and delivers an electric shock to the heart (defibrillation) if necessary.

​The Ryan Company’s commitment to the health and safety of all employees led to the initiation of an AED program in 2011.

The goal of our AED program is to increase the rate of survival for people who have sudden cardiac arrests. The AED program is designed to provide equipment and training to enhance life safety response measures. Our AEDs make it possible for trained and untrained responders to administer defibrillation prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

AEDs are installed in a designated area of all offices and in vehicles of crew supervision. In addition, AEDs may also be installed in company vehicles of safety personnel and superintendents. The AED is located in the cab, behind the rear seat, where possible. A sticker is placed on the vehicle door (closest to the AED) signifying the location of the AED.
